Bio
​
Ioana Jitaru is a Swiss-based multidisciplinary artist with a profound appreciation for art, spirituality, and nature. Utilizing a diverse palette of techniques and media, she explores the emotional intricacies of the human experience entanglement with the ethereal essence of nature and the relentless passage of time.
​
While largely self-taught, her creations have found a place in several private collections and garnered recognition in international exhibitions. She is the winner of the "People" category award of the 12th edition of the "Julia Margaret Cameron Photography Award" for the professional section, and among the finalists of several other painting and photography awards.

Artist Statement:
"Through my creations, I explore the beauty of everyday life, its moments, and its stories.
I strive to connect the viewer to the subject and to create an invitation to pause and reflect. The beauty of a landscape and the evanescence of a fleeting moment or emotion are some of the sources of my inspiration, challenging me to capture them for eternity." - Ioana
